Many Trengo customers have recently faced a price increase of more than 150%. In this article, Byteleaders (implementation consultant) discusses two alternatives that offer a more cost-effective solution for managing customer contact, while also providing a broader range of functionalities.

Zendesk offers three packages for small and medium-sized businesses, with costs ranging from €55 to €115 per agent per month.


The entry-level package, Zendesk Suite Team, is priced at €55 per agent per month and is well suited to businesses looking to set up customer service for a single brand. It includes handling of email, live chat, telephony, WhatsApp and social media, as well as ready-made reports, webshop integrations, standard message templates and automation capabilities.

The second package, Zendesk Suite Growth, is priced at €89 per agent per month and enables the processing of tickets across multiple brands within a single system. It also makes it possible to add free light agents, allowing colleagues elsewhere in the organisation to view tickets and add internal comments. Additional features include a self-service portal, service level agreements, customer satisfaction measurement and multilingual functionality.


Zendesk Suite Professional is priced at €115 per agent per month and adds side conversations, skill-based agent routing, and integration with Slack and Microsoft Teams. It also enables the creation of custom reports, which is particularly useful for tracking specific performance objectives. Additionally, it allows you to set up a community forum where customers can support one another.

eDesk offers two pricing models: per agent or per ticket volume tier.



For the per-agent model, two packages are available: Growth and Professional.

eDesk Growth is priced at €89 per agent per month and allows connections to up to 5 webshops or marketplaces, with 50 automations and performance measurement via dashboards.


eDesk Professional is priced at €115 per agent per month and supports connections to up to 10 webshops or marketplaces, with unlimited automations, access to advanced service level agreements and reporting, and the ability to measure customer satisfaction.


The per ticket volume tier pricing model is structured as follows:

  • Fewer than 1,000 tickets per month: €179 per month
  • Between 1,000 and 2,500 tickets per month: €369 per month
  • Between 2,500 and 5,000 tickets per month: €639 per month
  • Between 5,000 and 10,000 tickets per month: €1,189 per month

This pricing model is best suited to larger webshops with a high number of agents.
